One of my big regrets is that I never took Tom Clark’s Ezra Pound class at New College of California (instead, I took a full time job at the school, where they promptly stopped paying me). So I’ve decided to at least read through the Cantos on my own, while tackling one of my small regrets: my much neglected poem comics.
Since the Cantos are a little more than I can take on in a week, I’m taking this step by step, and illustrating a small portion a day. It should take me, oh, the rest of my life. But at least it’s something.
I'm a librarian. Special skills include dog charming, brochure writing, slapdash cooking and long-winded nattering. I also enjoy watching the sunset's reflection in the tall buildings downtown.
For a while there, I taught classes on Classical literature, philosophy, and the history of religion at New College of California. I have an MA and an MFA in Writing, and live on a boat in Sausalito, CA.
