Nora, it's nice to meet you! (and a bit odd. After I approved this comment, I had a moment of confusion over why it was showing up under my name, until I realized: Oh yeah. Nora).

And I'm excited to find your blog, too. My creative beast is definitely underfed -- I could use some inspiration.

I found your blog because you posted on Alison Bechdel's and we have the same first name— but stayed to read a few posts since your life sounds so interesting! I feel you about the yoga/emotional release. It took me a long time to understand why my tear ducts felt broken every time I hit the mat!

I was surprised by the moon the other night. I looked out across the side yard to see an impossibly bright light beaming through the trees from the lake. My brain flipped through a catalog of things that it might have been before finally realizing it was the reflection of the moon on the water. That's what happens when all the leaves fall off the trees, I suppose. I get surprised by the lake.

Of course I don't mind. Maybe it'll inspire me to dust things off and start posting again.

Right at this moment -- having spent much of this totally frigid the night trying to rescue a wee cow'ring timorous beastie from the mighty hunter cats -- wrestling with a dolphin in a 110 degree tank is sounding perhaps more appealing than one might guess.

Virtue may well be over-rated.

In any case, this is just to be sending along a friend thing.

And hey, Nora, by the by, we've been having this ongoing debate, would Nora mind if I put up a friend link to her swell little private party?

I'm of the "no, she wouldn't mind" school, but of course I've been of the wrong school more than once in my brilliant career.

But since the cats are all busy at the moment, I think I'm going to sneak in and "just do it". (You can always give a negative squeak, and then it'll be paws-off.)

I've been enjoying YA lit for the past few years. Have you read the Hunger Games trilogy? It's fantastic. I'll have to check out Feathers.
